I suppose this is just me ranting a little. I hate, hate, HATE when I have feelings for a "butch" female and someone asks me, "If you just go after girls that look like men, then why not just be with a guy?" Well, let me ask you, if looks are all that matter, then why don't you date that person you called ugly? I mean, really, looks aren't all that matters. Sure, she may look like a guy with short hair and baggy/male clothing, but what if I like the way she talks to me, makes me laugh, makes me feel? I'm sure that's enough. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a relationship isn't purely built on a pretty smile. It is so much more than that. It's about love, trust, communication, and chemistry. I'm not going to deny that physical attraction doesn't also have a place in relationships. Of course it does! Although that may be true, a relationship isn't limited to that.

So funny, because my husband and I just finished watching Chasing Amy, and this topic was circling the room all night. I personally feel that standards are stupid; love who you want to love, no matter the gender/sex. A true soulmate is someone who forces your soul to grow the most, who makes you the person you were supposed to be. Great hub!

I love butch girls!! The short hair and guys clothes do not hide the fact that she is really a girl. My girlfriend is butch and although she is strong and appears as a guy, she gives the best kisses, has the softest touch and just accepts me for me!! Last but not least...her personality is the key characteristic that will make you fall in love with her!! Before coming out of the closet, i tried dating a couple of guys and i can honestly say that nothing beats the way that a girl makes me feel =)

hey, i face the same problem. i really like this girl, she act like a guy and she has ex gf. currently she still cant forget about her ex gf, they together for 4years. she is more attracted to girls than guys. i really wanted her so badly. i'm crazy about her. totally made me out of my mind. what should i do? she did not stop me to go after her, however she told me not to put too much hope unless she fall for me. i really click well with her. help me, please.
